Media turning on Obama

I found this article in U.S. News & World Report. The key item is this:

A couple of observations coming out of Super Tuesday: The "Phenom" phase of Barack Obama's campaign may be ending. The shine may be off the star. Yes, it's still a tight race between the junior senator from Illinois and the junior senator from New York. But up to this point Obama has had the distinct advantage (and disadvantage) of being less well-known; that era is starting to end.

Most damaging to Obama so far is a New York Times article published several days ago showing he claimed to have "passed" a bill regulating nuclear power plants that never did pass the Senate. Worse yet, he participated in negotiations that watered down the bill to the point of meaninglessness. Lastly, he took campaign contributions worth hundreds of thousands of dollars from executives and employees of Exelon (the company the bill was in part meant to regulate).

We can all expect to see more of the same as reporters dig deeper into Obama's record.

Also Larry Johnson at No Quarter blog is reporting that he knows of several articles that are damaging to Obama that the press is sitting on right now. I have no idea what they are about but maybe someone here does.

Heck, he won't debate because he does terrible at them and he can't handle the hard questions. He wants to hide probably because he doesn't want to be asked about Rezko.

Turning on? (none / 0)

Or is he just going to start to get more attention to his "details"?

Re: Turning on? (2.00 / 1)

Yes, his voting record is apparently going to be examined. The one in the IL senate is NOT pretty.

My granny used to tell me that's where the devil is.

Re: Media turning on Obama (none / 0)

Well, you know I would have thought the same thing but they're starting to talk about how he's taken donations from Weather Undergound members among other things.

Re: Want to donate (none / 0)

thanks, just donated. have been going back and forth between her and Obama, but the vapidity and repetition of his acceptance speech last night was finally too much. he needs some meat on his (policy) bones.

Re: Want to donate (1.00 / 1)

Agreed! I thought it was awful. Odd the news media didn't pick up on that..... Hillary's sounded fresh, she congratulated him, and then talked about the things she would like to accomplish.

live by the media, die by the media.

Now that McCain (the true media favorite) is going to get the Repug nomination, there isnt enough room for two darlings.

Re: Media turning on Obama (none / 0)

never going to happen. because MSNBC is head over heels in love with Obama; Dems don't watch FOX and CNN just seems to boring to watch.

That slushfund story, only WashPo covered it; if it had been Clinton, it would have been only ALL the evening nightly news, but not going to happen.

there is such a thing as a liberal media bias and I now truly believe it. I first thought that FOX was biased, but now I understand why conservatives want their own network, because the liberal lovers like Matthews and Robinson rule MSNBC.

Re: Media turning on Obama (none / 0)

Where do you get this information from---the STAR magazine?

Hillary fans must be running scared of Obama. Every time they hear his footsteps creeping up on them they start throwing out bogus information and falsehoods.

I wish Obama was the kind of man that played as dirty as the Clinton clan. He'd have plenty of amunition to throw back at them that's for sure. Keep prodding---no telling when and where it will backfire. I can hardly wait.

Re: Media turning on Obama (none / 0)

Huh? He's the one that sided with radical fundamentalists in Kenya not the Clintons.

QUOTE: "Heck, he won't debate because he does terrible at them and he can't handle the hard questions. He wants to hide probably because he doesn't want to be asked about Rezko."

How many times does this Rezko matter have to be dissected and examined? You can't squeeze blood out of a turnip.

Or do you mean the picture of the Clinton's standing with Rezko?? The one where she conveniently says---" I don't know the man."

Keep digging you fools! To bad you didn't learn anything the first time they were in the White House. Slick Willy is probably already conjuring up how he can have 'Leona' appoint him VP.

QUOTE: "Yes, his voting record is apparently going to be examined. The one in the IL senate is NOT pretty."

DUH!! Don't you think "Schrillery" and the media have already dug into Obama's record?? What planet are you on?

Guess it's true what they say about the level of education the people have who voted for Hillary.

Hillary won't have the funds to win the nomination. Therefore, out comes Willy's bag of dirty tricks. I hope he does---it'll seal her coffin.

Re: Media turning on Obama (none / 0)

It's about a political patron and his intervening on behalf of radical muslim fundamentalists in Kenya.

Rezko hasn't even started. Obama is in the indictment.

Wow, you're really defensive.
