Pres. Clinton in Chillicothe, Ohio (w/pics)

Pres. Clinton campaigned for Hillary this morning at the Ohio University campus in Chillicothe. He was accompanied on stage by Frances Strickland, wife of Gov. Ted Strickland.

He gave a strong speech outlining Hillary's record in the Senate and stressing her stand on universal health care (as opposed to the Obama plan which leaves 15-20 million uninsured) and that she is the only candidate to vote against the awful Bush energy bill of 2005, which was a giveaway to old energy interests. He also spent some time talking about education reform, ending on the note that Hillary would never forget who put her in the office of president.

Here are some photos of this event.

Yep, it looks to me... (2.00 / 8)

Like a whole LOT of Democrats still LOVE Bill Clinton, contrary to what a few angry bloggers say. It really looks like Hillary & Bill are working it in Ohio, and it looks to me like Hill's on track to win. :-)

Re: Yep, it looks to me... (none / 0)

Yeah, I love Bill. I wish he were running again this year. I was a bit annoyed in SC, but whatever.

Obama's charisma reminds me of Bill.

Hillary's lack of charisma reminds me of Kerry.

Thanks for the photos...they're great.

I'm glad some democrats remember how good Bill Clinton was for the economy and building the middle class, and see how great Hillary will be for our future.

Yep, despite what a few angry bloggers say... (2.00 / 2)

Bill Clinton was a GREAT President who left a GREAT legacy for this nation. And for a few "progressives" to act like they're ashamed of President Clinton, I just don't know what they're thinking. I'm just glad he's out there and he's talking about how Hillary will not only continue the Clinton legacy of putting people first, but she will make this country even GREATER than it had been before. :-)

Plus, he was a doer and not a talker.

Great post!

And look at the last picture.  Is there some requirement that Secret Service agents shave their heads?

meanwhile in another universe (2.00 / 4)

I posted this diary over at dkos--check out the vitriolic comments. I can't believe these people call themselves Democrats!

Hillary was so right in calling the Obama campaign heir to Karl Rove.

Sad, isn't it? (2.00 / 1)

You're brave to even visit that place, let alone post a diary there. Kos has simply devolved to complete insanity. I'm just glad there are places like MyDD where we can talk rationally and REAL Democrats like Bill Clinton aren't bashed 24/7.

Re: Sad, isn't it? (none / 0)

Yes. Kos is mostly talkers. MYDD is doers. I'm siding with the doers, and with the solutions over the speeches, and with the experience to bring change.

Not to mention (none / 0)

the ability to parrot campaign slogans.

The Clinton campaign are doers when it comes to blowing 30-point leads and burning through campaign cash as fast as possible.

Re: Not to mention (none / 0)

Perhaps those people in those states did not hear about how Clinton was a doer and not a talker.

In Texas and Ohio, they will hear about that. And if they don't hear, then these races will be tainted by ignorant voters.

Re: Not to mention (none / 0)

And perhaps pigs will fly out my butt while Barack and Obama have a tryst in the bushes.

This theme of "people who support Obama are ignorant" is just so counter-productive. I don't favor Hillary and I deeply distrust her, but I don't question the intelligence of her supporters.

Please show similar respect.

Re: Not to mention (2.00 / 1)

Should be "Barack and Hillary" of course.

Mind-body dis-integration.

Thanks for the post (none / 0)

It's good to have a first hand report from the ground.  We can't rely on fair report from MSM anymore.

Every Hillary supporters are working so hard.  I'm so amaze the resilience that everyone is in their believe and support for Hillary.

Her opponent wants us to pack our suitcase and left since last week.  But we won't have any of it.

Re: Thanks for the post (none / 0)

Yes. Hillary Clinton supporters are doers while Obama supporters are talkers.

It'd be nice (none / 0)

Re: Pres. Clinton in Chillicothe, Ohio (w/pics) (none / 0)

I am very happy to see these pictures.  This has inspired me to get involved.  I'm off to www.hillaryclinton.com to join a phone bank.  I may also visit PA headquarters (closest to me) to get started on work there on the weekends.  This diary is heartwarming.
