Obama and the MSNBC deal

We all know when John kerry was coronated by the media - before any
voter had a chance to weigh in. It was a public afair, with someone
like Pitt present, broadcasting it on the internet like it was
something good
http://www.truthout.org/docs_03/121003A. shtml

No such publicity this time.
However looking back something makes sense: When Faux started attacking him
last year, Obama declared he'll never go on Faux anymore.
I thought at the time that it was an act of courage from Obama - and
applauded it. While still happy that Faux got sidelined, knowing Obama
better - he never had an act of courage in his life. I believe it was
the time when the deal with Faux's competitor, MSNBC was signed and
sealed: "turn your back on them and we'll be your campaign surrogates".
What followed is my proof. The famous campaign memo which "was
not given to the media" - the one Sharptonizing the Clintons before SC,
was executed point by point by MSNBC - like any good surrogate would.
It would be interesting to see where the deal gets shoved now
that the RNC concerns go towards the GE.

Thanks for the laughs. (none / 0)

This is a good one.

Hey, did you know the Twin Towers thing was an inside job?

Bob, if you don't think these DO happen... (none / 0)

Check out this video from CNN where Larry King is getting ready to interview Bill Clinton back in the early 90s.

He flat out tells Bill Clinton that Ted Turner is a big fan of his and that he would "serve him" if he's elected.

Take a look for yourself... Larry King telling Bill to his face that his entire network would shill for him.  Here you go:

http://mediaburn.org/Video-Preview.128.0 .html?&uid=4371

It starts at 1:45 on the tape

Introduction to the year 1992. We hear about the Rodney King beating and subsequent riots. We learn that Bill Clinton was campaigning for president and about the popularity of the Larry King show. We see Larry King telling Bill Clinton that Ted Turner will "serve" him after he is elected.

And how does that relate to this post?

Wow.

There are some metallic lids strapped so tightly to noggins that blood supplies are being cut off, apparently.

That TV networks do some shady things (none / 0)

I bet if I had claimed CNN made a pact with Bill Clinton to "serve him" many people would have said to get the tinfoil hat.  But there it is, on video.

Don't be so quick to dismiss some people's theories, in other words.

Asshole.

Yeah, I see all the proof the diarist offered. The "smoking gun."

And I'm the asshole.

I must say, I get a lot of laughs from this joint lately.

Well we already knew that part Bob (none / 0)

You've come over to poison yet another blog I see.

Regarding that video though -- it appears that the contract with the devil between CNN and Clinton expired quite a while ago.

Poor little Begala is trying to hang on though.

"Poison a blog?"

Do you think MSNBC has inked a secret pact with Obama to trash Hillary?

Nope I don't think that (2.00 / 1)

they like the fresh new story.

They geniunely like Obama. They are having a hard time controlling their bias.  It happens.

But I have other videos bookmarked and there is one where I saw Mika Brezinski flat out read some pro-McCain spin off a cue card/notes and passed it off as her own opinions.  There are many fishy things going on in the media and I have a pretty good eye for it.

Media Matters is a great website.  Many of the things they document would have seemed tinfoil 10 years ago.  The media is out of control right now.

Re: Nope I don't think that (none / 0)

The diarist asserts that there is an agreement between the Obama camp and MSNBC to back Obama over Clinton.

Glad to see that you don't take it that far.

Uh, care to present some proof? (none / 0)

Nice accusation ... got any proof?

If I said you ate donkey ... er ... food, would you ask me for proof?

I'll require the same consideration from you ... fair?
