I want leaders like these two, spiritual and practical, partners complementing each other in eloquence, insight, experience and courage.

Both of these women, having come from different paths, but found each other through their same goals, one an achiever believing in liberty for all, the other a poet created from the wisdoms of a lifetime of hardships and struggles.  A true meeting of minds.

God, how I long for such a union for leadership.

Bless you both, you beautiful sisters of conscience.

I must be missing the poetry. The first Paragraph is from her work "Still I rise", and it was written in 1978. The rest seems to be an endorsement not written in verse. Am I missing it?

Maya Angelou is definitely amazing.

Wisdom is not ldisavowed by sound bytes.  No matter how long it has been around.  It exists and gets repeated through out the ages, and thank God some of us can still recognize our ancestor's wisdom, and the need for the repetition of millenium's worth of life experiences.

It used to be something societies were built upon for stability for their own into the future.

Now, it's looked upon as a joke by our youngsters.
