Why is HRC ahead only at MyDD?

This is an honest question, not an attempt to flame the site.  I tried to search, but failed to find any sort of methodology post.  Lots of stuff with actual counts, but none explaining this site's "widget" counts on the right sidebars.

Below a look at the numbers ~

MyDD +3
HRC    1188
BHO    1185

RCP -137
HRC    996
BHO    1133

Open Left -135
HRC    1002
BHO    1137

Wiki -140
HRC    984
BHO    1124

CNN -124
HRC    978
BHO    1102

MSNBC -131
HRC    985
BHO    1116

So what's going on here?  (And please don't just say this site is pro-Hillary.)

UPDATE: okay, apparently Jerome uses the "confirmed pledged" delegate counts from the sites The Green Papers and DCW, along with supers for a strange reason.

TGP -84
HRC    953
BHO    1037

Re: Why is HRC ahead only at MyDD? (none / 0)

It must be including super delegates, although CNN does that and has Obama ahead.

MyDD counts only significant delegates. Mark Penn has provided them with a list.

Possible comment of the cycle.

Re: Why is HRC ahead only at MyDD? (none / 0)

I was going to post a diary on the same subject. The other counts vary, but not by 100 or more. Obviously, there is a big difference in methodology if the count is correct, and it would mean that the entire framing of the race in the media (that Hillary has a struggle on her hands to catch up) is entirely backwards.

there is no question Obama dominates the netroots (2.00 / 1)

In most sites, Clinton supporteres are so overwhelmed by obnoxious Obama supporters (and other varieties of Hillary haters) that we have gravitated here to this small oasis where we don't have to face constant psychological torture from the messiah's rabble.

What more can I say?

Re: there is no question Obama dominates the netro (none / 0)

so, are you saying they boost her numbers here b/c it's biased for her?

Re: I asked earlier today (2.00 / 0)

That makes no sense though, because the totals for both of them are higher than the other counts. If only confirmed delegates were being counted, wouldn't the MyDD count be lower?

Cross-posted w/you (2.00 / 0)

but good point!

Re: I asked earlier today (none / 0)

Thank you ~ if anyone could provide a link, i'd appreciate it.

Also, re: super delegates ~ i just did some math and subtracted the supers from the 4049 total delegates to get 3253 total pledged.

Therefore, the winner of the primary should really be the one who gets 1627 delegates.  THAT should be the way it is after this election.

Re: Why is HRC ahead only at MyDD? (none / 0)

Yep, if CNN, MSNBC, the Clinton campaign, the Obama campaign, AP, Reuters, and RCP all say one thing, and an obscure pro-HRC shill says another, the most likely explanation is "the entire framing of the race in the media . . . is entirely backwards."

Re: Why is HRC ahead only at MyDD? (2.00 / 0)

It will be really funny when Obama takes the nomination and Jerome is still counting him as behind in the delegates.

"But if you add in THESE but take out THESE he is still trailing badly! How could he be the nominee!?"

Re: Why is HRC ahead only at MyDD? (none / 0)

Her own campaign has her behind, as does the NYT (which endorsed Clinton). The NYT has a very conservative count and was the last major media outlet to call the delegate lead for Obama.

The bottom line is that Clinton has lost eight contests in a row by double-digit margins. She's losing. I credit the "psychological torture" the Obamanation has been inflicting.

Re: Why is HRC ahead only at MyDD? (none / 0)

Well, it looks like Obama may be losing the biggies Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania, which, if it stays that way, will turn this thing around in a hurry.
