"My Fellow" Whaaaa-?

I sort of don't even know what to say about McCain's little slip up on the trail today. It appears that instead of saying "my fellow citizens" or "my fellow Americans" he said "my fellow prisoners," perhaps a Freudian slip revealing that he feels like a prisoner in his own presidential campaign. If he could get out, he would but he can't.

If you're like me, you'll watch it several times. On subsequent viewings you'll probably notice another Freudian slip, when he says "my term in office" as opposed to "my first term." Is it me or does this guy really not even seem to want this job?

One more thing to be on the look out for: Sarah Palin's face after McCain says "my fellow prisoners." She sort of makes this face like "huh? did anyone else just hear that?"

From the banner, it looks like he is going to run with the 300 billion dollar mortgage buy-out?

I guess, he figures, the far right hates him, but won't desert Sister Sara, so he can go "socialist" on them.

Remember, in the Republic party, they only bail out companies, not people. Too Big To Fail is their mantra....

He may be a prisioner all right, but he's the one that constructed the jail.

Hard two believe, but along with "that one", it looks like we have two damning youtubes of McCain in a 24 hour period.

He's losing it, folks.

Did he just reveal the existence of the Matrix? (2.00 / 1)

Does this mean Obama is "The One?"

This is certainly weird, but... (none / 0)

I don't think it's meaningful. He's the other guy, so let's make fun of him for it, sure, but it's probably not indicative of a mental break down or the state of the race. It's just indicative of the same crazy verbal slips that happen to every candidate when they're on the stump for a year straight.

They all end up with some bizarre moments like this one. His previous one was bottled hot water for dehydrated babies.

he has had too many serious gaffes that don't hit him as he is speaking or even afterwards...

It's probably a combination of things... (none / 0)

Yes, his cognative powers ARE probably detiorating over time with the years.

And, also, it has got to be utter chaos in his campaign team.

First McCain DOESN'T like to take order, and he doesn't like to stay disciplined, he likes to wing it...

And, they seem to be in absolute reactive mode, EVERYDAY they are floating some new trial balloon.

So, message changing daily, a candidate that likes to wing it, doesn't like to rehearse, is impulsive...

And, just doesn't have the stamina that his younger rival does?

One of the reason I think they rushed McCain out of there last night, besides him being angry, cause I think he knew he lost, was he was tired and mentally drained.

And, it has showed in both debates.

Let's be real here. We have Alexander Putin putting on an instructional JUDO video?

McCain would be OLDER then any of his international rivals by decades.

And, he IS no Reagan...he wants to be involved in all the planning and decision, cause I don't think he trusts anybody but himself.

Wrong man for the wrong job at the wrong time in his life.

Senators can be lone wolves, even older ones, like Robert Byrd.

Not Presidents.

I also disagree (none / 0)

This is the wear and tear of campaigning and is age related.

Wait until the last two weeks of non-stop campaigning.  He is going to be zonked and rambling.  It won't be pretty folks.

Watch the reaction shots of all the (none / 0)

other people in the video.  Sarah doesn't react nearly as much.  For instance, McCain's daughter on his right flinches.  Two people in the back left obviously are asking each other, "Did he just say prisoners?"  A black-haired guy in the back right flinches.

Looks like she is talking to herself.  She certainly isn't listening to McBumble.

Hey. Meghan McCain is totally knocked up. I saw her at the campaign today and she is totally showing. My God is there a Republican teenager in this race who isn't pregs?

Re: "My Fellow" Whaaaa-? (none / 0)

Y'know, I thought I heard him say, "My fellow prisoners" in the debate yesterday, as well. Or some other live clip I saw recently.

Maybe his campaign staff is making him feel all cooped up-- like-- a prisoner?

Reminds me of the all-too-brief TV series by Patrick McGoohan-- The Prisoner--

Bob, I never thought I would live to see the day that Patrick McGoohan's 'Prisoner' entered the realm of popular cult culture.  You made my day.

Incidentally, you're dating yourself.  I avidly watched this series, and reruns, on WPIX in NY back in the late sixties.

WTF-CNN says JM more forthcoming than Barack? (none / 0)

OMG, what a crock of shite CNN is echoing about age & health, saying McCain released 1100 pages of records but Barack released a one-page summary.  Um, perhaps Barack's health can be summed up in a page:  47 years old and physically fit, not a 72-year-old with recurring melanoma and possible longer-term health issues from his injuries (not to mention his mental health and anger management issues):
