George Bush In A Dress

This was an instant classic from Keith tonight on Countdown.

Speaking of maverick mini-me herself, I'm heading to the LA County Palin rally tomorrow (you can follow my Twitter updates of the event HERE.) Can't wait to see the magic happen in person! While there, I'll be stopping by the pro-Obama protest and the California Democratic Party's giant screen of questions for Palin. Not surprisingly, it's being freeped, apparently one submission ended with "Reps rule, Dems drool!" You can submit your own HERE.

Last but not least, I can't wait to see the plane fly overhead (it'll be circling for several hours, actually) with the banner reading the winning message from the Courage Campaign's contest this week: "Sarah Palin, Thanks But No Thanks: "No" on Prop 4!"

Robert Cruikshank at calitics elaborates on the significance of the message:

The Courage Campaign is going to greet her with an airplane banner over the Home Depot Center tomorrow that will read "Sarah Palin, Thanks But No Thanks: No on Prop 4!" Proposition 4 is the return of parental notification, and Californians deserve to know what Palin's stance is on Prop 4 and parental notification. In her interview with Katie Couric:

Katie Couric, CBS News: "If a 15-year-old is raped by her father, you believe it should be illegal for her to get an abortion. Why?"

Governor Sarah Palin: "I am pro-life. And I'm unapologetic about my position..."

In 2007 the Alaska Supreme Court declared a parental consent law as unconstitutional, a decision Palin called "outrageous." Her response was to appoint another conservative to the court, giving it a conservative majority.

Californians need to know that Prop 4 is an attempt by social conservatives like Sarah Palin to write their extremist beliefs into our state's laws. Especially as Prop 4 holds a narrow lead in the polls, it is important that Californians are educated about Prop 4's Palin-esque goals.

This is our way of getting word out that Proposition 4 is just the sort of thing Sarah Palin would approve of. No on 4! For a sense of the other side of the issue, you can view their disturbing new ad HERE.

(disclosure: I do work for the Courage Campaign)

how dumb did one have to be (none / 0)

to buy George W. Bush's act in 2000? Him, the son of representative turned ambassador to the UN turned RNC chair turned China envoy turned HEAD OF THE FUCKING CIA turned Vice President turned President of the United States, who grew up and lived under such a man's win, an "outsider?" A folksy Texan? honestly, how dumb can cretins be to buy George W Bush being an outsider?

Re: how dumb did one have to be (none / 0)

Bush did lose in 2004, by popular and electoral vote. He was handed the election by the Supreme Court.

he got enough votes (none / 0)

to make the election close enough to steal, and didn't lose to Gore in the pop vote by that much. Bush really was bought by a great many idiots.

I NEVER thought I would say this.  Wow.  Here it goes.  This is an insult to George Bush.  He is smarter.

Voting for the smart guy (2.00 / 1)

I think this is an appropriate thread to drop a link to the best political video of the season.

Re: George Bush In A Dress (none / 0)

This probes a little deeper into her thoughts & heart.

It's clear that both the Ensign and Sanford marriages were the victims of the increasing number of states approving gay marriage.

Why is She Campaigning in Los Angeles? (none / 0)

McCain has no chance to carry the state, and if the thought was to support downticket Republicans then maybe a rally in Orange County, San Bernardino/Riverside or San Diego might've been a better tactic?

Don't get me wrong, I love seeing Palin waste her time in LA!

She's going to a fundraiser (none / 0)

I suppose she wanted to give his California volunteers something to cheer about since no pub candidate will go there.

Or McCain has an incompetent scheduler....

Or another alternative explanation is that she just wants to follow Hillary Clinton around just as she was in the same city as her yesterday.

I know a PUMA (none / 0)

He's gay, Asian, and would never think of himself supporting W. yet he likes Palin a lot. Go figure. I'll have to send him this link.

Same Ole Bush Advisors (none / 0)

They gave Palin the same script they gave W. Change to McCain means putting on different clothes.
