"empty rhetoric", Obama's is particularly depressing. It's a pity that we finally have the change to elect the first black president and he turns out to such an empty suit ruled by his fear of appearing to be "the angry black man".

First of all, Obama is just who he is. He's not trying to avoid being anything.

Of course, you have such a one-dimensional view of black folks you almost resent the fact that Obama isn't and "angry black man."

If anyone has run away from an identity stereotype, it's Hillary with her vote for the Iraq War. You know, she didn't want to appear to be the weak woman.

I realize that Team Clinton would love Obama to get angry--it would make it easier for them to race bait.

Hillarys campaign is imploding and there will be firings soon. But Obamas campaign needs to be put to the same test, black or white. Obama needs to be vetted as Hillary says. Edwards has ben there, done that , and is clean by most Standards. No Lobby $$$

What did Martin Luther King accomplish before he became a civil rights icon? What did Abraham Lincoln accomplish before he became president? Hillary's attacks on Obama just reveal her negative nature and that is NOT appealing.
