Clinton's abortion attack on Obama has turned sour

As revealed yesterday, Clinton has been sending out a mailing that attacks Obama with falsehoods about his voting record on abortion matters. The Planned Parent hood gave him a 100% approval rating, and today has taken further actions. To stop the spread of these lies, the President of Planned Parenthood NNE (Northern New England) is calling New Hampshire voters telling them the truth about Obama. Other womens rights groups have also taped calls.

She went negative and will have to face the backlash.

Blue Hampshire has reported on the incident:

Update:As I was posting this a robo call comes in, paid for by Barack Obama from Susan Walsh? Who is involved with a NH choice group and informs that Barack Obama has a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood. Nice rapid response from Team Obama.

So far, Axelrod is looking much sharper than I expected.

Right up until the caucus, I was thinking "The guy's in over his head."

David Geffen was right.

Re: Clinton's abortion attack on Obama has turned (2.00 / 1)

When I saw this on Huffington Post I thought what an absolute disaster her campaign has become.  Last night she made an overt play of the gender card, and then turn around and try to lie about something involving Planned Parenthood?  Is she crazy?  Is she intentionally trying to lose her base?

Re: Clinton's abortion attack on Obama has turned (2.00 / 1)

Unreal.

What amazes me is the issue was raised and debunked months ago.

She criticizes him for a strategy that actually served to protect the right to choose more so than if he'd voted "no". How cynical is that?

By doing so, she discourages others from doing the same in the future, which will result in losses for the cause. Short-term personal benefit, in exchange for a long-term setback to the cause. Wow.

Explain to me why this woman deserves one shred of respect.

What is that cow Taylor Marsh going to say about this.

Re: Clinton's abortion attack on Obama has turned (2.00 / 1)

What it means is you are smart enough to sit down with Planned Parenthood and effectively map out a strategy that is successful in turning back seven attempts to sidetrack Roe v. Wade.  They tested this in the internet and it didn't work.  They tested it in press leaks and it didn't work.  This mailer is a sign of absolute desperation which is further proof that far from being the one who can take on the Republicans, she would be an absolute disaster.  She has absolutely no skills.   I didn't think it possible, but she may place 3rd.  This is not going to go over well in New England.  This isn't an attack just on Obama, it is an attack on Planned Parenthood.

Re: Clinton's abortion attack on Obama has turned (2.00 / 1)

Planned Parenthood gave him a 100 percent rating.

Deal with it.

Re: Clinton's abortion attack on Obama has turned (2.00 / 1)

He was against the bills.  He voted present to give cover to others who were vulnerable in their districts for a no vote and were convinced to vote present as a tactical strategy.  The present vote was the same as a no vote in blocking the bills and the idea was to gather as many present votes as possible.  The strategy was conceived at the bequest of Planned Parenthood.  And it was successful.  So now that you have the answers and the facts, any further attempt by you to make this an issue will be as transparent as the Clinton attempt is.

No, but it makes you look like a child. I am so turned off not so much from Hillary, but who she surrounds herself with and the supporters on here.  The Hillary crowd on here is so toxic it's just disgusting.

Re: Clinton's abortion attack on Obama has turned (none / 0)

So you would vote no and have the bill pass than vote present and have it fail?  Fortunately Obama, Planned Parenthood, and a number of other Senators disagree with you.

Re: Clinton's abortion attack (2.00 / 1)

If Hillary wants to get out of her hole, she's going to have to fire Mark Penn.

It's that simple.

To Gladiatorstail,

Read the key link off the diarists key link:
http://thecapitolfaxblog.com/2007/12/04/ about-those-present-votes/

To dmc2:

Yeah this was debunked months ago.  But it was also debunked 4 years ago.  The Clinton campaign is recycling the same attacks on Obama that were used back then.  (And they say he hasn't been vetted, Sheesh.)  This is a repost of an Eric Zorn column in March of 2004.

You are clueless and facts are wasted on you.  So, good luck with that...
