Re: How The Iowa Caucuses Work Late Night Open Thr (none / 0)

Did we have a prediction thread already , if we did i missed it .

Here is my prediction looking into my crystal ball for tomorrow :

Obama wins :      38%

Edwards Second :  33%

Clinton third :   31%

Obviously thats not the order I hoped for and I pray I am proven wrong but its hard to see Clinton winning under most scenarios.

Obama will turn out his people and Ann of the dmr poll would be inducted into the hall of fame of polling.

Edwards would not lead the first place votes going in , Obama would , clinton second , but Edwards second choice placing would boost him over clinton but not enough to catch obama who would also pick up a sizeable amount of second place votes.

I have been wrong on a lot of things  , infact I hope this is another instance in which I stay true to form and I am wrong again.

It is probably going to be a long night for me tomorrow. Infact once I hear the results I am going straight to the bar with a couple of my girlfriends ( all clinton supporters) , odds are someone would have to drag me back home.

I know the little guys are hurting (particulary given the way the Iowa caucus requires 15% at a precinct to get any votes). But is it so bad the non Obama/Edwards/Clinton vote is -2 %?

38+33+31=102

;-)

I am willing to bet that zogby would show Obama leading in his poll tomorrow and he would claim he saw a surge for him.

A crappy pollster is easy to spot from a mile away.

Oh, and... (2.00 / 1)

"If we're going to make our mark on history, this spirit of possibility ... this spirit of hope has to shine through," he said. "This is our moment. This is our time. And Iowa, if you will stand with me ... we won't just win this caucus, we will win this primary and we will win this general election."

So ... I've never followed (none / 0)

the Iowa Caucuses on the day of the Caucus before. At what time will we start seeing some results come in?

My prediction (none / 0)

My prediction.

Clinton -
Obama -
Edwards or Richardson

Iowa is not easy to predict, you know? These guys go their own way. Richardson in third would be a major move by his camp, but its possible.
