Michigan Democrats Didn't Listen To Kos

I think it's funny that CNN even feels the need to frame this data this way:

Despite urging from some activists like Markos Moulitsas that Michigan Democrats vote for Mitt Romney over John McCain, CNN exit polling indicates the Arizona Republican won the liberal vote.

McCain captured 41 percent of Democrats who voted in the Republican primary, 10 points more than Romney. Mike Huckabee meanwhile, only captured 14 percent of Democrats.

Democrats are voting for Mike Huckabee?

voting for Huckabee (none / 0)

Maybe they figured the Huck would be easiest to beat in November?  Let's hope it's that and not his populist message (not backed up by policies, but what the hey).

there are anti-choice, pro-gun (none / 0)

union members. I would bet that's where the Democratic vote for Huckabee came from.

My dad was complaining that the Huckabee camp made several calls to his and my mom's place in Detroit....

Re: Michigan Democrats Didn't Listen To Kos (2.00 / 1)

I suspected the point of the Kos-led campaign was not so much to create a huge Democratic wave for Romney, but more to create an embarrassing narrative for him in the media in the event he won.

After all, it's somewhat emasculating if the other party views you as such a joke that they try and help you win.

Actually (none / 0)

Romney won liberal vote in the CNN Exit poll 33/30%.
McCain won the Democrats 41/34%.

Re: Michigan Democrats Didn't Listen To Kos (none / 0)

Democrats were 7% of the exit poll -- 95 respondents -- so who cares?  The MOE's gotta be double digits on a sample that small.

Re: Michigan Democrats Didn't Listen To Kos (none / 0)

The bitterness comes from the pretext with which Kos runs the site, that while he owns the blog, he doesn't own the content.

Kos routinely bans people who do not toe the Kos line or who criticize the administration for regulating the content that Kos says he doesn't own.
