Video: Obama continues to nail home the message . . . judgment matters.

Video: Obama continues to nail home the message . . . judgment matters.

The blogs, youtube, and Obama's continously adapting and growing debate skills are starting to erode the corporate media's pro Hillary bias. We have witness the pundits slowly back off calling Obama's foreign policy agenda as "irresponsible" and "naive." We have also witness Hillary Clinton get a dose of scrutiny for several bad comments and missteps as the corporate media gradually comes to the realization that they are backing themselves into a " contradiction" corner with such an outright Clinton bias.

Obama is really a talent to behold. In recent days, he has redefine what it means to be a democrat who "knows foreign policy." On August 1st at the Woodrow Wilson International Center, Obama, in one speech, summed up what was wrong about US foreign policy and pointed to his own agenda as means of renewing America's international leadership.

. . . Because of a war in Iraq that should never have been authorized and should never have been waged, we are now less safe than we were before 9/11.

According to the National Intelligence Estimate, the threat to our homeland from al Qaeda is "persistent and evolving . . . Al Qaeda has a sanctuary in Pakistan.

I understand that President Musharraf has his own challenges. But let me make this clear . . . If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will.

On August 4th in Chicago, Obama confronted Hillary's belief that "lobbyists represent real Americans" right in front of a group of bloggers no different than ourselves.

I disagree with the notion that lobbyists don't have disproportionate influence. Look the insurance and the drug companies spent one billion dollars in lobbying over the last ten years. Now Hillary? You were talking earlier about the efforts you made back in '93. Well you cannot tell me that that money did not have a difference? They are not spending that just because they are contributing to the public interest . . . they have an agenda.

One thing I want to be clear about. Part of the analysis for all of you is, who's got a track record on doing this?

On August 19th, during the last democratic primary debate . . . Obama showed us why he is ready to be president of the United States and the video below sums up that sentiment.

Cool Obama Videos

The many faces of Hillary Clinton: Hillary Clinton picks her words and positions based on polls and the political calculations of her campaign advisors. She has consistently shown a lack of good judgment.

Obama SmackDown Series: Obama vs. Hillary - End Game: Obama smacks down Hillary on saying we are now safer because of the Bush administration and he also calls her out for calling the medical and pharmaceutical lobbyists "real Americans." Obama calls end game on Hillary's political gaffes.

I don't understand (3.00 / 4)

How we are suppose to support Sen. Clinton.  What do we look at if not hypotheticals?  Isn't that what presidential campaigns have done for the past 250 years - save Nixon's secret plan?

At the root of her argument is an "I know better than thou" attidute that tells the American people we shouldn't concern ourselves with the foriegn policy choices in Washington - that is the type of sentament that led her and many others into support of the Iraq war.  Not ingaging in hypotheticals is a riduculous argument (Isn't that her health care stance at well) and I hope Obama continues to let her know that.

Brilliant ! (3.00 / 2)

Absolutely Brilliant!

I was very sickened by the posture of Joe Biden during a segment of that debate. I was very disturbed by it even though Obama wasn't moved and proudly continued talking and was not shaken and did not stutter. It looked to me as though Biden was physically trying to intimidate him and all I could think of was Jim Crow and it brought some very enraging feelings. It made my skin crawl because that's what was coming to mind. Jim Crow. I don't know why Jim Crow specifically, but that's how it looked to me.

And it is why Joe Biden will always remain a senator from Delaware.  His posture, arrogance was not appealing during the debate.  A total, turnoff.

When Biden was smacking down Obama (none / 0)

I wondered if that was a major reason Biden is in the race - and debates.

ABG,

don't fret. I'm an Obama guy. Biden and Obama are actually cool peoples. I have a buddy who sits in as an assistant in Foreign Committee meetings, which Biden Chairs and Obama is a member of. They get along well. This is just politics. In fact I see it as a sign of respect that he turned over like that to listen....

I still think Obama should talk about future (none / 0)

policies toward Iraq. He needs to draw more distinctions between what he and Hillary would do going forward in Iraq. Just saying that he had better judgment in 2002 is not going to be enough, or else Dean would have beaten Kerry and Edwards in Iowa.

I agree here.  He need to draw a distinct, irreversable line between the two.

Re: Video: Obama continues to nail... (3.00 / 1)

Joe Biden scared the crap out of me the way he kept glaring at Obama...

Brilliant video though.  I wonder if Obama regrets limiting his debate appearances now that he's getting so much better.  He went up against three experienced Washington Insiders and won.

Watch the future televised debates ratings. The ones that Obama attends will have higher ratings than the ones he is not in.

I bet.

I didn't see the debate but (none / 0)

this clip shows an extreme improvement in Obama's debating skills. He should do all the debates if he continue like this. He was alright before, but now.... simply wow.

Watch today's Hardball and Tucker. (3.00 / 2)

The media is changing its tune on Obama.  'Bout time.

Tucker had probably about eight Obama segments on his show today.

There was much more positive coverage of Obama on both Hardball and Tucker.

It looks like the work that is being done on the blogs and youtube is affecting the beltway pundits.

I think your diary shows Obama fizzling out (none / 0)

Just a couple of weeks ago your diary - this diary -  would have had close to, or perhaps over, 100 replies.

Most would be supporters who agree with you and back Obama.   Others would care enough to respond with their alternative opinions.   Yet even though this diary has been recommended for quite sometime you only draw 15 comments?

I think people are giving up on Obama.

Just my gut.

That's the kind of instinct used by Bush and Colbert.  =)
