The Videos That Should Bring Down Rudy Giuliani

Josh Marshall over at TPM introduces this he said/he said video of a speech Rudy made the other day "promising" to end illegal immigration juxtaposed with a speech he made as mayor saying "we'll never end" it, with the following headline:

Sane Rudy of Yesteryear Comes Back to Haunt Nutso Rudy of Today

Watch it:

This comes to us on the same day that an effort to get the Gays For Giuliani video up on the air in South Carolina is launched and David Dayen of The Right's Field shares with us this disturbing video (can someone please get it on YouTube already...) that Dayen describes as

It's a clip from the movie Giuliani Time, showing a 2000 "parody" video from a press roast with Rudy acting as, no joke, an AFRICAN TRIBESMAN admonishing a Bronx Zoo lion for being lazy and on welfare. When he tells the zookeeper to release the lion and "send him to a job center" and the zookeeper resists, he goes after the guy with his spear.

If the ascendance of YouTube isn't Giuliani's nightmare I don't know what is.

This is an open thread.

The 'gays4 Giuliani' video may soon be on the air in S.C?....Would TV station even agree to run this ?....

If this stuff does make it on the air in S.C , it would murder Giuliani there and i just don't see him surviving this.

Anyone still believe this guy will be the GOP nominee with his stances on issues?

Giuliani would be finished already (none / 0)

if the netroots spent half of the time we spend on attacking Democratic candidates.

Um, we spend plenty of time attacking him (none / 0)

And I'm sure we'll attack the hell out of him if he gets the nomination.  It's just that for a lot of liberals it's hard to imagine that happening.  You know. Someone else might win. And anyway, it's not like a lot of republican primary voters read MyDD.

Let him win the nomination. He will be the easiest to topple. Just because he leads on this poll or that poll today doesn't mean he'd be a strong candidate in the general. His real weaknesses will be exposed in a general election.

RUDY GO DOWN (none / 0)

Guiliani is a clown.  Much in the same respect that Romney is a mor(m)on. I welcome either of them as the Republican nominee.  In  this "American Idol" age of $400 haircuts and "Black Enough" questions,  its amazing that noone has gone after his ridiculous eye twitching/eye popping thing that cant sit well with Americans..not to mention his lisp. Cant imagine listening to a State of the Union by Rudy the "Wascaly Wabbit".  What a clown.  I once worked on a local campaign for Mayor where my candidate had a stuttering problem and he got torn apart for it I watch Rudy in the GOP Debates and he looks like the Mayor of NYC  not Presidential by any stretch.
