MyDD Blog Talk Radio Live Now

As promised we have a great MyDD Blog Talk Radio show coming up at 7 p.m. EST tonight. While Jonathan Singer is out celebrating his birthday "Portland Style" (whatever that means) co-hosts Aaron Banks and I will be joined by special guest host Lauren Wolfe, President of the College Democrats of America. It should be a great show and a lot of fun.

Lauren and the College Democrats are doing a lot of outreach with new media like the blogosphere and the netroots, as you can tell from this audio podcast interview she did with former DNC Blogger Tracy Russo. You can listen to it below.

Listen Live

You might ask Lauren... (none / 0)

...why the College Dems site is so crappy. (My first time there just now.)

On the homepage, the sidebar on News and Announcements has its latest item dated February 27!

And, if you go to the pages on at the left-hand side of the homepage Why politics matter and Why we're Democrats (pretty fundamental - they've got the positioning of those links right!), the content is ghastly.

Is it in the rules somewhere that official Dem party prose has to be as compelling as electrical appliance instructions and about as well-written?

Especially galling with so much deathless prose being produced round here...

Just my impression (none / 0)

As a first-time visitor to the site, like a student who's curious enough about the organization to check it out.

Actually, a feeling of spontaneity, rough edges, work in progress, a dash of amateurism - anything to make it fresh and appealing - would be good.

What I get is a sense of the dead hand of Dem bureaucracy at work, as previously seen in the truly dreary and mind-numbing New Direction.

Here's hoping for the new site...

Speaking of Blog Talk Radio (none / 0)

This evening, Hillary Clinton's Deputy Campaign Manager, Mike Henry, was on Blog Talk Radio making "the case for Hillary Clinton."  Very interesting...
