There are good Democrats...

And there are clearly bad Democrats.

Elections are about figuring out which is which, and who will best represent the public interest.

Just what does Hillary Clinton stand for?

Hillary Clinton will fool people with a lot of blather about "fighting all my years in public life" .. blah, blah blah, and having all this so-called great "experience", expertise, and being "smart". She even uses the 'ol Bob Dole line about being tested and tested and "ready" (when Bob Dole is your campaign role model, you've got some issues folks).

But where is the actual evidence of any of that?

How can someone who has voted with Joe Lieberman most of the time ever be regarded as having any true expertise whatsoever (much less be seen as smart)? Just what test did she ever pass? How can a person who has never spoken truth to power, and has never done anything remotely politically courageous as a U.S. Senator for 8 long years, be possibly regarded as "the fighter"? How can the candidate who has been bankrolled far, far more than any of the others by the corrupt War-Defense-Industry, Insurance Monopolies, Big-Pharma, Ruppert Murdoch, the Banking Monopolies, and the Corporate Establishment, possibly be regarded as "your girl"? How can someone who, at a time when the Country and Congress had been (initially) united behind major Health Care reform (1993), squandered that opportuntity by having proposed an overly complex, buereacratic, HMO-Insurance-driven scheme, that prevented people from even seeing their own choice of doctor, and which was crafted in secret -- which could not be liked by either liberals or conservatives -- then be seen as "competent", much less the person to lead the Democratic Party forward?

Her bumbling, incoherent, and Neocon corrupted U.S. Senate record has left her standing as the most inauthentic option in the Democratic race. And that very bad record combined with apalling indecisiveness and double-speak about major issues (such as War, Torture), tells us what she will really do as President and just what type of advice (bad) she will listen to.

Hint: Not yours or mine...

If you want more NAFTA extensions, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more Telecommunications Acts [ Clinton: 1996 ] and Big Media consolidation, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more inauthentic, phony, staged-managed Press conferences, Hillary Clinton is your girl.
If you perfer the unconstitutional U.S. Patriot Act instead of liberty, Hillary Clinton is your girl.
If you want more lies about Foreign Policy, Hillary Clinton is your girl.
If you want more Iraq Occupation, even beyond 2013, Hillary is your girl.
If you want civilian-killing Cluster Bombs to not be banned, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more more jingosim, more excessive Militarism, more dishonest rhetoric, and reckless War propaganda about Iran, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more ambiguous remarks about Waterboarding, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more violent policies of "regime change" [ Clinton: 1998 ], more CIA lawlessness, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more HMO, Insurance-Company profit controlled Health Care screwing up your life, Hillary is your girl.
If you want Dick Cheney to never be prosecuted, Hillary is your girl.
If you want George Bush to never be prosecuted, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more government scandal, Hillary is your girl.
If you want the Corporations, Banks, Government Agencies to know everything about your private personal life (via "The National ID Card"), Hillary is your girl.
If you want 8 years of evasive answers, double-talk, public lying, arrogance, and two-faced posturing, Hillary Clinton is your girl.
If you want the unconstitional North American Union to go forward, Hillary is your girl.
If you want Ruppert Murdoch's Media Empire to control even more Media, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more government wiretapping powers, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more government secrecy, more authoritarian, hierarchical government, Hillary is your girl.
If you want more status-quo, Hillary is your girl.
If you want the Democratic Party to be voiceless and to stand for absolutely nothing, Hillary is your girl.

If you want nothing to ever really change, well ... you know the rest.

Secondly, if you were old enough to know who Al Gore was in '00, you would have been one of those that attacked Al Gore for, as the Greenies and Naderites and a few misguided Democrats put it, being "no different than George Bush."

Have you seen a video clip of it? Or are you just going off of a transcript. I'm sure that you do know that you can read it as racist, and you can read it as an adjective describing the African American as being quick. I don't defend racism but you have to look at how it was said not just by strictly what was said.

Not exactly.
I would never vote for any of the so-called top-tier GOP fascists candidates under any circumstances.
In other words, I would never vote for Guilliani, Romney, McCain, Thompson, et. al.

However, if Ron Paul became the GOP nominee, you would then have an anti-War, anti-CIA, pro-civil-liberties, anti-Corporatism, anti-establishment, anti-bankruptcy message coming from the GOP ticket. That would be new and interesting: in fact, a first in U.S. History since the days of Teddy Roosevelt.

What that would also do would be to push the Democratic Party ticket further then they currently are to the left on Military and Foreign Policy issues.
It would make the Democratic Party more honest, less timid, and more courageous. i.e., a good development!

The U.S. News Media would also be forced to move the debate far away from where it has been (preemptive War, human torture, etc.) since it would be dragged into covering two candidates (not just one) with a message - neither of which follow the Cheney-Bush line.

Given a choice between Hillary Clinton and Ron Paul, it would be a close call. I'd have to see how the actual debate unfolded. If Clinton clung on to her double-talk and "all options on the table" Neocon stuff, then Ron Paul would be be the hero saving the country trillions of dollars and dismantling the corrupt military-industrial-complex that has ruined this country for the last 60 years.

However, if Clinton did a big mea culpa and convinced me that she was no longer a Neocon propagandist (Iran, Iraq) and Ruppert Murdoch's play toy and was able to compete with Ron Paul in terms of policy boldness and trying to change the country, then that would make her competitive. But hell might freeze over first.

look, the 2003 campaign was a crazy season full of underhanded tactics. people who didn't follow the campaign closely would think the stories around it were crazy if they didn't follow the reporting first hand.

i'm pretty sure you are not so naive to think dem operatives are incapable of dirty pool just as republican operatives are. dems can play just as dirty as their counterparts.

As a member of the the Human Rights Campaign, I know that I have a lobbyist on the hill and I am happy for it.
