Netroots Fundraiser, Final Total

Numbers updated as of 1:00 a.m. eastern.

OK, I can't stay up until midnight Pacific, so I'm just going to call this a fundraiser right now. It was tremendously successful, breaking every goal we set--and we set a lot of goals. Well done! Our pre-Labor Day fundraiser ends at $126,598.77 $152,812.74 $175,459.05 raised and 5,514 7,071 7,878 new donors to candidates (obviously, many donors have given to more than one candidate). Overall, the Dailykos / MyDD / Swing State Project Neroots page has now raised $615,769.18 from 7,514 unique donors. Here are the final candidate totals for the fundraiser, as of 5:15 9:10 p.m. 1:00 a.m. eastern: I am frankly blown away by your dedication. Give yourselves a pat on the back, and find some way to recharge your batteries this weekend. Come Tuesday, it is a straight nine-week sprint to a Democratic Congres. I'm going to Boston, and then that will be it for me when it comes to trael and vacation. I might find a way to take one or two weekends off, but otherwise I will be working for at least ten hours every day between September 5th and November 7th. We have to come through. If we fail this time, we will regret it for the rest of our lives.

Thanks from the Sestak campaign (none / 0)

A big thanks to all the grassroots and netroots supporters out there who donated their hard-earned money to Joe's campaign!

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (3.00 / 1)

Just don't come up with too much money, or Republicans will claim that the economy is doing just fine.

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (none / 0)

Add one for McNerney.  I wish I could pony up for all the candidates but the funds are limited, and I desperately want Pombo out of DC.

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (none / 0)

You added Trauner! Yippee!! Well, I gave him money over the weekend. Does that count?

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (none / 0)

Did your check bounce? Was your credit card declined? Did you give him counterfeit bills?

If the answer to all of the above is "No" - then you bet it counts! :)

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (none / 0)

I donated $25 on my own to Lamont, not through ActBlue (I have a half-timne minimum wage job so I can't afford more, alas.) I wasn't fully conscious of the ActBlue drive. As far as I am aware, my money order was not counterfeit, so I hope it sort of counts.

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (none / 0)

You've got this on lockdown.  600 is iced already, not sure whether you mean 7500 total contributions or just within this push, but either way, badass.

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (none / 0)

And there it is. $600K.

Plus, even with candidates on the list who use ActBlue for all of their online donations, the Netroots page now accounts for better than 1/3 of all the ActBlue money taken in by these candidates. Heck yes.

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (3.00 / 1)

If you contributed to Linda Stender in NJ-7, I want to say thanks. I live here, and she can win this seat. Let me tell you what she did over the weekend at the NJ DFA Grassroots Training.

First, she gave one of the best speeches I've ever heard from her, slamming her opponent on a stupid 2nd-grade reading-level TV spot he's running, called Stender is a Spender. She slammed him good on what he and the Bushies are spending your money on (and it isn't good).

Then, she sat down with candidates from all over the state running for local office, and offered advice and encouragement for them in some tough uphill races. Thanks for fueling this campaign.

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (3.00 / 2)

I just wanted to toss in my two cents (well actually it was considerably more).

I ket holding back, but broke down and gave a donation today. I covered some of the candidates I have supported independently, Lamont, Tester, and Massa. I also jumped in and gave to some folks new to my candidate roster: Courage, Grant, Webb, Sestak, Murphy and some bucks for the BlogPAC.

I also broke out of the group you listed to support Vic Wulsin, running a strong campaign against Mean Jean Schmidt in OH.

I also wanted to note that I am supporting some candidates not in the MyDD, Daily Kos, Swing State campaign: Dave Meijas and Kristen Gilibrand in NY and the very exciting Donna Edwards in MD. The only candidate that I think I misfired on was Tammy Duckworth. I supported her early and waited. I threw another contribution her way about a month ago and I'm still waiting. The only noise that campaign is making is the sound of contribution solicitation letters coming off the press and being thrust into the envelopes. I feel like I get a letter asking for MORE money every week. So, I closed my wallet to that campaign, but I'm excited by some of these others.

I do hope I get to tick off a column of wins this November. Lord knows I'm trying to buy myself some level of happiness by investing in these candidates.

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (3.00 / 3)

Just made my first donation ever!  To Tim Walz's campaign!  We are very excited about him here in Minnesota.  My friend heard him speak and said everyone wanted to jump up and yell "Amen!"

Heck, this is my first post on a blog.  I'm really a grassroots virgin!

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Last Day (none / 0)

As of midnight EDT, all goals exceeded! It seems each year I'm giving more money to more candidates -- perhaps one of them will actually be elected this time.

Thanks from Idaho! (none / 0)

Chris and all, THANK you for your hard work.

We at the Grant campaign are honored that so many folks want to help us take back Congress! The best part is, Dick Cheney could barely get 150 people here in Boise two weeks ago when he came to raise money for our sad-sack opponent.

And you know what? We also announced yesterday that Max Cleland will be here to campaign for Larry and our entire Dem ticket.

The Cheney event was in one of the smallest rooms at the Boise convention center.

The Cleland event is going to be at the freakin' Idaho Center arena, the same place the Rolling Stones will play a few weeks later.

Can we say DEM TIDAL WAVE, reaching all the way inland to Idaho and Wyoming? You bet we can. But as Chris says, we've got to work for it.

Hell, Chris! You don't have to send me off to recharge my batteries this weekend. What you just did with this fundraiser just charged those batteries. Thank you.

Re: Netroots Fundraiser, Final Total (none / 0)

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I would love my blog F-words to be included as one of those covering the ID-01 race.  I've been following it for several months now, and am excited to see things picking up steam.
