Rush Limbaugh

Was Rush Limbaugh in illegal possession of Viagra in the Dominican Republic because he was (a) helping a married friend (b) remedying the Dominican Viagra shortage (c) keeping customs on their toes so that they can more effectively catch terrorists?

Or make your own guess.

Rush deserves it. But the govt is uncool (none / 0)

I despise what happened to Rush. So a guy brings back a freaking pill of viagra , commits some minor crime, and some agent leaks it to the entire world ? It is almost as bad as parading pictures of johns and hookers all over the internet by sanctimonious law enforcement departments.

Having said that, the fat bastard deserved what he got. What happened to him was bad, but he is a bad man and bad men deserve bad things happening to them. Not only is he a bad man, the mofo is a hypocrite. I wonder if he still supports invasion of privacy by the Bushies. All the same, I can still criticise the government conduct in this issue.

Re: Rush deserves it. and the govt is doing right (none / 0)

Whoa!  Rush signed a consent agreement that he wouldn't take ANY prescription drugs that were not disclosed to his probation officer in advance- so that his random drug tests he agree to could be done accurately - in order to avoid prosecution and obtain probation.  The Viagra prescription was written in Florida, by a physician - with the MD as the 'name on the bottle' (to hide the Rx, at the request of Rush). The MD broke the law, and so did Rush.

Are you saying that those on probation shouldn't be required to fulfill the requirements of probation?

Send his ass to jail!

Re: Rush deserves it. But the govt is uncool (none / 0)

Sure, Rush is a total scumbag who deserves to rot in hell. But I have always been a little bothered by these prosecution "deals." Rush has already been pretty much discredited. But one of these days, someone I know is going to tell me "I can't go in pizza shops -- it's a deal I made." Then I will surely poop my pants. If they can do it to this guy, I would say they can do it to you. People think "But I'll never break the law." Then some agent comes by and lets them know they are breaking ten laws. It scares me that so many think they are never going to break the laws -- go to any law library and observe that there are about 10,000,000 laws!

Come to think of it, if we are realy such hot strategists, then we should be trying like hell to keep him around. Who knows what he will pull next month? The smart plan would be to keep this goofball in business!

Have I exceeded my own (kinda low) standard of cynicism on this one?

Re: Rush Limbaugh (none / 0)

My guess- and this is just a guess- what happen was that Rush become very concerned with both the number of brown people entering the US from Mexico (after hearing about it on Fox News), and also he was concerned with the Republicans maintaining their majority witht the polling numbers so bad. So, being as selfless as we know Rush to be, he decided to bring viagra to start populating America with more white, conservative babies to start off the population growth from 300 million to the next milestone in the Right direction. We know these conservatives are brilliant strategists, and so, I will expect to see several diaries about how Rove is behind this, and how Rove is a genious. Therefore, we can expect Fitzgerald will be widening his investigation (a la Ken Star) into the goings on with Viagra-gate. Or, as I like to call it, Operation Rescue a Conservative Redstate Baby.

Re: Rush Limbaugh (none / 0)

Until it become scommon practiceto let this pass for some schlub, I don't see any reason for outrage on Fatboy's behalf. That he's going to the DR in the off season should raise eyebrows. This time of the year, people don't go for the sun, they go for the sex workers and the DR is notorious for underage prostitution (boys & girls). Richbo has always gotten on his high horse about morality, it would be nice to see someone get passed the pills to see what he was up to on his little vacation.

Re: Rush Limbaugh (none / 0)

So you are saying I should revise my gate from Viagra-gate to Tail-gate?

Re: Rush Limbaugh (none / 0)

I thought Rush was unmarried.  What would he need Viagra for?  Unless... But that can't be!

Yes it was (none / 0)

Rush was with a hooker.

He penetrated a woman, multiple women, a little boy, multiple little boys or some combination of women and little boys.

Re: Rush Limbaugh (none / 0)

Well, since we're not invading Iran, Rush can't get his war boner. Hence the Viagra.

Re: Rush Limbaugh (none / 0)

Rush should call someone who cares about quetionable detentions, 4th Amendment violations, and abuses of police power ---- the ACLU

I hope he calls, however, he may want to wait until he's back in Florida, what with the NSA monitoring international calls and all

I understand that Daryn Kagan is insatiable and requires servicing 5-7 times a day. Rush is just doing his best to keep her happy.

Daryn Kagan took the day off from CNN today... Coincidence?

Poor Rush.. (none / 0)

Wood you please not be so hard on him?
Bone up on something else... like your local congressional erection.
Or maybe make a stiffy drink and just relax, get un-cocked...
I hate to be so firm about this, but I'm just used to more rigid stories from this blog... like your Jack abramOff coverage.

Re: Rush Limbaugh (none / 0)

Rush's excuse about the prescription - that he had it written that way for privacy - is way too limp to hold up. What a shame he can't stand up like a man and tell the truth. His dysfuction as a law-abiding citizen is enough to make any man feel wilted and flaccid. I certainly hope his head is drooping in shame as he returns from one of the world's know sex-trade centers. We are shocked! Just shocked!

Re: Rush Limbaugh (none / 0)

I have thought of Rush as Rush Limpwad for years
because of his insatiable need to pump himself
and his many Rightwing causes without regard to
truth or morality.  It is little wonder the man
needs Viagra.  The rest of us need painkillers.

What is wrong with this woman? (none / 0)

Some good looking blonde who is supposedly on the "24" panel Rush hosted (regarding why we need to torture suspecs or some shit) is kissing the fat bastard mouth to mouth

by Pravin on Tue Jun 27, 2006 at 06:47:30 PM EST

Mary Lynn Rajskub is that woman?!!! (none / 0)

She goes from living with a talent like Jon Brion to letthing this vile creature kiss her on the lips? I don't know if she is a girlfriend as implied by some entry on Atrios or just humoring him. Either way, I feel like the Livingston in Office Space when he finds out Aniston slept with "Lumburgh" the guy who represents all that is evil. And then he is relieved later that she slept with another Lumburgh. Unfortunately in this case, that doesn't look like another Limbaugh in the picture. Damn, now I can't see her face in a movie again without feelings of disgust.
