There's an ugly rumor being pushed by the telecommunications industry that Google is funding Moveon for the net neutrality battle.  It is of course not true.  Moveon doesn't take corporate money, and Google doesn't fund left-wing groups when it's lobbying a Republican Congress.

But the rumor is out there.  I first heard it at the Personal Democracy Forum when cable industry consultant Stephen Effros put it out there during our net neutrality debate.

These telecom companies are seriously great people.
