The sad thing is that Weldon't slam against Sestak's daughter "barely registered a blip" in the first place.  But that's pretty cool if media outlets are starting to pick up that he's bat-shit insane.

Now this just has to get out of the alternative weeklies and into the dailies!

Re: Weldon's insanity breaking through into local (none / 0)

We're gonna start seeing more and more of this. Blog readers are part of the real world and as that readership grows the idea and arguments that are discussed online will be discussed in the traditional media as well. They'll be more Keith Olbermans, politicians will change their frames based on what is said online- not because the politician gives a shit what we say but because some staffer or intern does.

At some point blogging stops being about generating buzz and starts being about setting the agenda.

Yes, I did. I am dealing with it in the order of the rather large number of things I need to accomplish.

Fundraising numbers Weldon vs. Sestak (none / 0)

Looking good for Sestak considering he's coming out of nowhere.  First three months of 2006:

Weldon - $461,563, including about 50% each from individuals and PACs.  Cash on hand $655,766.

Sestak - $427,264, including 92% from individuals and 6% from PACs.  Cash on hand $396,305.

Still quite early, but the individual giving is encouraging as it speaks to enthusiasm and interest.

Maryland Brigade for Sestak (none / 0)

Marylanders (including myself) are going to drive up and help Sestak out a little on the weekends before the primary election, a little doorknocking, a little cheesesteak.  This is a just form of revenge on Weldon, since he sold his "hospitalize your daughter in Philly, work in Virginia at the Pentagon" theory under the premise that Maryland is a small state and a quick drive or train through.  Weldon apparently graces our state with his presence, to wit the back of his back riding through our state daily on Amtrak at 95 miles an hour to Capitol Hill.  Quick commute indeed, Weldon.

I cannot leave BalWash during the week but interested "quick commuters" who would like to go help Sestak and hurt this jackass Weldon can email me at thecrab@crablaw.com.
