You Know What? Just Call Diane Feinstein

I'm putting this in the diaries so I don't bump anyone's post with something this off-the cuff, but seeing this before bed was too much for me to take:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., a member of the Intelligence Committee, said it was premature to call for censure. "Until you know what the issue is," she said, "I don't know how you can make any kind of decision at all."
Remember that Feinstein proposed a censure resolution against President Clinton after the Senate trial against him was over.

(202) 224-3841 Call her office now and ask her why she wanted to censure a Democratic President with a 60% approval rating for lying about sex but does not want to censure a Republican President with a 33% approval rating for spying on Americans without a court order. Use that exact language if you want. I don't care what time it is--leave a message (85% of the people reading right now are probably in California anyway). Call until you get through. Stop calling any other Senators until you have called her. If she wants to censure a Democratic President but not a Republican one, I don't want her phone lines working for even one minute tomorrow.

Diane Flunkystein says  "Until you know what the issue is," she said, "I don't know how you can make any kind of decision at all."

That is the most maddening statement. Even if you give her the benefit of doubt, HOW FREAKING LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RESEARCH THIS ISSUE??  And that is ignoring the issue why she wasn't researching if Bush broke the law way before this censure resolution was brought up by Russ.

This is the main thing. For all those caught by surprise, why weren't you researching all the legalities of the bush problem way before this?
Are you too chicken to find out 100% because that would give you no excuse to back out ?

I just called Senator Feinstein's office and explained the issue to her staff member.  The president is a felon.  Now that she knows the issue she should have no problem doing the right thing.  Right?

A few exerpts (none / 0)

From her censure resolution of Clinton:

Whereas William Jefferson Clinton, president of the United States, deliberately misled and deceived the American people, and people in all branches of the United States government;

Whereas William Jefferson Clinton's conduct in this matter is unacceptable for a president of the United States, does demean the office of the president as well as the president himself, and creates disrespect for laws of the land;

Whereas future generations of Americans must know that such behavior is not only unacceptable but also bears grave consequences, including loss of integrity, trust and respect;

Whereas William Jefferson Clinton remains subject to criminal actions in a court of law like any other citizen;

Whereas William Jefferson Clinton through his conduct in this matter has violated the trust of the American people;

That's some more ammunition. Quote directly and ask how it doesn't apply to Bush.
