Thanks to everyone here in the "netroots" community and the greatest campaign manager that money didn't buy; we all can be happy with our efforts. Thanks for supporting us and sticking with us through the ups and downs.
Hopefully, we can stop spending billions of dollars to elect our representatives and focus that money back on the people who need it.
All of us need to collectively put our heads together and start thinking of ways to capitalize on the momentum. In some races, the money spent was worth it and some it just outright backfired on us. It is not about the money it is about message.
Our campaign is living proof of that:
We raised less than $30,000 but still managed to make Barton run a "re-election" campaign this year.
Our major accomplishments:
Endorsed by WESPAC
Endorsed by SecureUS
Endorsed by VETPAC
Endorsed by Esquire magazine
Photo shoot in Vanity Fair
We forced Barton to update both his campaign website and his House website
We did not have a full time "office" or "paid" staff - it was all done virtually and with volunteers
The numbers above speak for themselves - we chipped away at his base, and then some...
