After talking with a wide number of people who are interested in helping, I have decided to go through with
the campaign I proposed last night to transfer funds from safe Democratic campaign accounts to the accounts of competitive Democratic challengers. In order to start the campaign, I need your help.
Look at the following list of representatives:
Unopposed House Democrats Campaign Cash. Choose one representatives, preferably someone near you. Fine the following information on this represenative, and post it in the comments:
- The email and phone number for their campaign office.
- The amount of money they have given to other Democrats and to Democratic committees this cycle. You can use Open Secrets for this information.
- Whether or not s/he has ever been in a close election.
Choose a Representative near you from the list of 45 Representatives here, and find this information. Then post the information in the comments. If you have the time, move on to a second representative after you have finished you first representative.
We are going to make this work. A lot of people are on board with this campaign, and finding this information is crucial to its success. If we can help facilitate a transfer of millions of dollars to competitive districts from safe districts in the final weeks of the campaign, we can make a huge impact on the outcome of the campaign. Please, get on this right away. We need to make this happen ASAP.
