New Blogs

Welcome to a few new blogs.

An Open Letter to the Washington Post

An Open Letter to Tim Russert

These blogs are designed to be places where readers can give feedback to media outlets that don't allow their readers to effectively congregate.  The internet opens up remarkable avenues for discourse.  Tim Russert doesn't have an 'ombudsman' or a space for discussion, so we built one.  The Washington Post does have an ombudsman, but it has been discredited by their actions.

These aren't new campaigns, they are simply new spaces for discussion.  Meanwhile, there's great stuff on Open Letter to Chris Matthews.

When do you just start boycotting the traditional media? Cancel your newspaper subscription.

Re: hit 'em where it hurts (none / 0)

Is the Washington Post really gonna get hit all that hard by a blog boycott? How many bloggers subscribe anyways? Many may read online, but unless you're in the DC area (which of course some are) you aren't likely to be waking up to it at your door every morning. It'd be one thing to start boycotting CNN or CBS or whoever, but trying to pull together a national boycott of a localized product is tricky to say the least.

A boycott of the Post doesn't make sense.

But pressuring the cable companies to allow viewers to subscribe to cable without subsidising CNN, MSNBC might.

Pat Crowley (none / 0)

Pat Crowley, a writer of Northen KY Politics blog, writes for the Enquirer and has done a lot of censoring.  Now you have to be a team member in order to post there.  I'm not a team member so I cannot reply to anything there.

Also, I have video of the latest SNL Digital Short called Young Chuck Norris.

Tim Russert (none / 0)

Tim Russert asks Obama about Belafonte because they both are black, and the white clowns such as these wonder as to why he should be held responsible for the actions of his ancestors...

If all blacks are the same, all whites are the same, isn't it?

Good Idea (none / 0)

If the Washington Post "Free" discussion forum and comments are really going to be at the mercy of the whims of the ombudsman, well then it's a great idea to set up an unregulated discussion forum where ideas cannot be censored.
