Update on MyDD relaunch

The new site will launch within a week. Old-schoolers, I am one of you, so don't be afraid of the change coming. I think everyone will find that we've taken the best things out there from the scoop sites, invented new furniture that will fit in fine with the comfortable digs, and brought them all aboard on the netroots platform (still in beta for overall release till mid Feb).

Remember: No Comments (none / 0)

Remember- in the new site make sure to nix the comments section.  We may call names, offend each other, etc.

We just can't be trusted with our own opinions as we are not trained, professional journalists who will seek out the facts and only publish FACTS.

So... no comments please.  And appoint an ombudsman to handle us, should we run afoul of your opinions.

No can do (none / 0)

...And appoint an ombudsman to handle us...
Before that gets done there has to be a convened panel discussion on blogger ethics.

Once again, I will take this opportunity to say that I would like to see your byline more often - as this is YOUR site after all.

Jerome - is this on the radar of your VA. friend? (none / 0)

Your friend in VA whom I'm also a fan of?

It amounts to an intellectual earthquake, I think.

I'm talking about the Garance Franke Ruta piece, Remapping The Culture Debate in the new Prospect about polling....tangential to the mydd poll effort as well:

Netroots (none / 0)

Is it going to be a platform that is meant just for MyDD and other top level blogs, or something that is meant for blog authors down the tree some to be able to functionlly use on their own?

Yea, the comments revamp are (complete with rec and unrec replacing the numerical ratings of comments) are, the stuff that markos is working on, which I'll bring over here as well, but not with this relaunch.
