Of the all the states where we may need to help out recruiting Senate candidates in 2006, right now Nevada looks like the most pressing case (unless Hackett, Ryan and McCaskill back out of their respective states). Gleaming the comments of our first two posts on this subject (
here and
here), these three candidates appear to be our top three options:
Now we need to do three things:
- 1. Use the comments to continue to build our list.
- 2. Rank the existing list in order of preference.
- 3. Start trying to figure out exactly what sort of support we can give to the candidate we decide to back, so we can set up a formal draft movement and begin contacting candidates.
In order to begin addressing #2, I have included a poll attached to this post. Obviously, in the comments, discuss all three of these issues. We have precious little time to waste.
