Blogosphere Day

Bumped--Chris

The famous blogphenom on Ginny Schrader happened one year ago today. Stephin Yelling kicked it off, with all the blogs jumping on board, and Chris Bowers  volunteering the continued exposure for Schrader via the campaign work. So thus begins another year of netroots activism.

One way to celebrate Blogosphere Day is to raise some coin for the Special Election in OH-02. Election Day is two weeks from today. They've raised nearly $6,000 today alone, so lets help push them over $10,000. Here's the link for your celebration.

Update (5:43 pm): What a fine blogopshere day it has been so far. Since 11:20 a.m., combined with Atrios's page, we have raised $50,223.42 for Paul Hackett from 1106 new donors ($45.41 / donor). That makes a grand total of $84,191.38 from 1427 donors. Awesome!

Update: (8:37 pm): More Paul's way. We are now at $93681.60 total from 1666 donors, and $100K is within reach.

Electronic voting (none / 0)

in Ohio...

until we get that corrected I am wary about any Dem winning state wide.

Besides telling us how to live, think, marry, pray, vote, invest, educate our children and, die, the GOP has done a fine job of getting gov't out of our lives.

Any news on the polls? (none / 0)

I haven't seen anything on the polls. How is Hackett doing? Is he close?

Re: Any news on the polls? (none / 0)

No polling yet in the race, at least no polling that has been made public.

Unless someone knows otherwise?

No polls (none / 0)

But he almsot certainly is going to lose. This is the most Republican district in Ohio, 60%+ for Bush in 2000 and 2004. That doesn't matter though--a fifty state strategy and no seat left uncontested is what it is about. That's why I threw in $20.01.<p. 45% would be monumental. A win, and the flood gates are open. Every Republican would be endagered in 2006.

It's not just the money (none / 0)

It's the connections.

Check out the commercial.  Hopefully, we've raised enough money to put it on the air.

Happy BlogDay!!!
