1. The Candidate, Paul Hackett would be an outstanding congressman. His experience in the Marine's would give him a much added sense of what should be done in Iraq, so when a neo-congressman says this and this about Iraq, he can say I was there you are wrong. He also was a local government official and who understands how government has to work top to bottom. He also fought very hard for the nomination.
2. 50 state strategy
If we are serious about running campaigns in all 50 states then we should start now and not a week from now. This what is happening now, I am tired of conceding Congressional elections, and given that our Candidate is working hard lets back him up : lets start the strategy.
3. Ohio
This race isn't in some far away place, it is the most important state in the political world, it will be extremely difficult for our Presidential Candidate to win next time without Ohio, we have a governor's race and senate race here in less than 18 months, why not build the infrastructure now.
4. Special election/Primary
Generally very few people vote in special elections and this gives us an edge to win a race we may not otherwise. In addition the contested Republican primary combined with the fact the Republican Candidate comes from a region of the District which is not the most populous, while our candidate is from that region, it is still is uphill but this means it is possible.
5. The opponent,
Jean Schmidt is an ideologue, uninterested in asking questions , uninterested in working across the aisle, her goal is to go to congress to attack our strong Democratic women, she is pro-life official and will make her mission to end choice, not just a position but a crusade, this will make her an ineffective congresswomen who will always vote with this president, do we want to make our case against another rubberstamp.
For these 5 reasons I am sending $ 25 bucks to Paul Hackett, If we all send what we can, we might get the big boy's interested. This is what 50 states means.
