Why I am rooting for Frist...

They say politics makes strange bedfellows... well now I believe it.

Frist is the only one who can undo this crappy sell out job that LIEberman concocted.

This was not a win just cuz Dobson got his knickers in a twist... Dobson is angry because he wanted total power and control and he only got nine-tenths total power and control thanks to LIEberman.

Like I said yesterday... anything LIEberman takes a lead on concerning the Democratic party... is 100% sure to be bad for Democrats... that is his job... to dismantle the Democratic party and he has been doing a damn good job at it.

Within 24 hours I am already proven right. Frankly, any blindman could see this coming... just hearing the name LIEberman connected to this scam.

Now it seems the Dem Malevolent 7 have trained their sights on helping Bush to dismantle Social Security...

Calling Dr. Frist... stat

Pull the damn trigger already... anything is better than this slow tortuous death LIEberman has planned for the Democratic Party.

The Screwed Democratic Patriotic Option

At long last, a group of legislators was able to put the interests of the country (and the ideological interests of the far right by appointing their eradical judges..) before those of the narrow ideological, partisan and special interests (by neutering the Democratic Senators)  While not perfect, the nuclear freeze was a noble achievement of screwing democratic patriotic statesman (concocted by asshats McCain and LIEberman). An over-reaching majority was at least  temporarily prevented (for a whole 4 hours!!!) from changing the Senate rules and trampling upon the rights of the minority. Call it the screwed democratic patriotic option.

Hopefully, those on the far left and right will have a burr in their saddle this morning. That is the feeling that a decent compromise (ie when Dems get screwed) should produce. This agreement is evidence that a vital center still exists in the U.S. Senate.

If the American people are searching for unifying leadership, they saw it in abundance in the action's of the Moose's old boss, Senator McCain. In a rare moment in recent political history, McCain was uniquely able to forge a bi-partisan group of Senators to put the nation first. It should be a model of how our representatives (or Presidents for that matter) should operate in the future.

The asshats are using the DLC to promote McCain-LIEberman 2008... now can we all agree that the DLC are no longer Democrats and get back to the subject of being Democrats without these fools.

I'd rather die fighting than be subjected to this lying hogwash of "Old wine in new bottles"

McCain was never a "moderate" but a conservative... however this explains the renewed attacks on women in the Dem party.

McCain is staunchly anti-choice and it looks like the DLCers want him to be pres in 2008... (well, at least they are smart enough to realize that Hilliary is a no go, so the next best GOPer in line is McCain)

They are attacking women now to get them out of the picture or at least marginalized as "far left" wackos... to give McCain/LIEberman 08 clear passage.

Dr. Frist ... stat

Re: options (none / 0)

In a short word you are just way off.  And I would love to see a McCain-Liebeman ticker in 2008 but it will not happen.  However I think your prejuice against Lieberman has blinded you, this is a huge win for us the GOP is breaking up on this and this deal is a big reason.

Parker is insane (3.00 / 2)

Well, 7 Democrats kept the Senate from basically being shut down and all your warped mind can concentrate on is Lieberman. It would figure that you would ignore the other six, since your well known hatred for Joe is very evident. I said I would not give out troll ratings since I have respect for all points of view, but I'm making an exception for you. Your a pathetic piece of slime with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Your headline is rooting for Frist and yet you spent most of your rant attacking Lieberman. You can't even get your headline straight!!! Go back under your socialist rock and stay there. Your no Democrat, because if you were, you would have a brain in your head. Oh yeah, enjoy Lieberman for another six, long wonderful years when he's reelected next year.

It's awesome... (3.00 / 1)

It's great that freepers" and "freepers disguised as centrists"... who bombard MyDDers with an inordinate amount of diaries and comments that say exactly the same shit OVER AND OVER are eventually troll-rated out of existence.

It's a shame that identical behaviour is tolerated from "liberals" like Parker (I suggest a misuse of the word when it comes to describing Parker, insulting to "real" liberals who pride themselves in their ability to provide coherent arguments... and who do not view the world in terms of absolutes... "black" or "white"... "right" or "wrong").  It doesn't say much for "our side".

Funny how not one comment has any substance just personal attacks from the wingnut brigade... I guess I must be on the right track.
