Another Gay GOP Sociopath ... what's new...

Repeat after me there is no such fucking thing as a "values voter". They live in the non existent district as the "swing voter". This a just another invention of GOP Consultants like the one hypcritical bastard below.

Here is another typical example of the GOP digging in our panties to play politics.

Arthur J. Finkelstein, a prominent Republican consultant who has directed a series of hard-edged political campaigns to elect conservatives in the United States and Israel over the last 25 years, said Friday that he had married his male partner in a civil ceremony at his home in Massachusetts.

Mr. Finkelstein, 59, who has made a practice of defeating Democrats by trying to demonize them as liberal, said in a brief interview that he had married his partner of 40 years to ensure that the couple had the same benefits available to married heterosexual couples.

"I believe that visitation rights, health care benefits and other human relationship contracts that are taken for granted by all married people should be available to partners," he said.

The hypocrisy is stunning... it is the TOTAL LACK OF MORALITY that is the engine of the GOP.

Do what I say... not what I do...

In Israel, Mr. Finkelstein used similar attacks against the Labor Party as an adviser to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and as a consultant to the winning and losing campaigns of Benjamin Netanyahu, the former prime minister.

"In recent years, Arthur hasn't pretended to be a social conservative," said one longtime conservative associate, who cited Mr. Finkelstein's aversion to publicity in declining to be identified. "But this is the same man who was the architect of Jesse Helms's political rise."

If there is a hell I hope that this man burns in it for all eternity along with his GOP bigoted buddies.

They dig around in our panties trying to find a campaign gimmick and we kept letting them.

HEY... YOU... GET OUT OF MY DRAWS!!!!

Don't believe the hype

This is the face the GOP wants us to believe.... these are just more Boogie man stories...

Soon every time the left seems to be waking up from their GOP induced haze they will trot out more of bullshit stories of Evangelical Zombies who march in line and answer strictly to the GOP... yeah right

Kind of like the terror alerts syndrome.

... Even a MORAN can tell when they are no longer getting overtime pay...one does not have to be a rocket scientist to realize that they can no longer feed your children.

NO COMPROMISE...BECAUSE THEY CAN'T WIN WHEN PEOPLES BELLIES ARE EMPTY!!!!

Random thought . . . (none / 0)

Perhaps when the Reeps start getting all bleeding-heart and asserting that the government should get involved with this issue or that issue, a la gay marriage or the Schiavo matter . . .

We should start calling them liberals. After all, aren't liberals the ones who want the government interceding in everything?

Yeah, I'm cynical.

Re: Yup (none / 0)

Voters have always been democratic on the issues. The problem is that Democrats talk about issues, instead of narratives about people's lives. Democrats go all wonkish and theoretical about issues, when what voters want to hear is "How will this affect my life?"

I was just listening to Nancy Pelosi on CSPAN. She told a story about criticizing a Republican for something or other. After she finished her criticism, a democratic "advisor" came up to her and told her she should consider being more "diplomatic." The DLC actually pays people to be that ignorant.

If the DLC was any more "diplomatic" they would be defending Tom DeLay.

GOPers are running all across the bloody world making up lies for public consumption, and Democrats are paying people who tell them to be more diplomatic. No wonder they lose elections.

I just saw Lewis Black on CSPAN (none / 0)

The Democrats should fire their entire staff and just start watching The Daily Show.

You can't do PC jokes, because PC jokes are not funny. Nobody laughs at a knock knock joke. They aren't funny. And neither are PC jokes.

Centrism is not funny, and it's not persuasive. Nobody laughs at a knock knock joke and nobody votes for a centrist.

Schiavo - one doctor says she's dead. Another one says she's alive. If that's the state of modern medicine, we're screwed.

We can't make our own flu shots? We buy it from the British. Then we have to put it on the boat and get it over here? In the 60's we made LSD, I think we could make a flu shot!

Why do Democrats talke these fools seriously? On every single one of these moral outrage du jour "scandals," they should just reply How can you possibly be that stupid?

How about press coverage and the congression? The breast was not on television long enough to see the breast. I know, because I was watching eight feet away from the television. If anyone actually saw the breast, they should immediately report to the CIA.

The next morning the nation had gone completely insane. It was all over the media:

Breaking News: Millions of children had their lives ruined forever when they were exposed to Janet Jackson's breast. Let's take a look. In case you missed it, let's take another look.

They played it over and over in case we missed it. And then Congress said "Bring us the breast!" And they watched it over and over and over.

Let me assure you. No child in the history of mankind has been exposed to a brest accidently and then suffered a moral epileptic seizure.

There are too many comedians making way too much money in way too many forums for the American people to agree with these priggish moral morons.

Patriotism is important in this country. Religion is important int this country. Either one without humor is why our country is in trouble. Relgious people are the most humorless group of pricks on the planet. These are people who wandered the desert for years and years and years, and never ran into a knock knock joke. The price you pay for living in a tent.

The leadership of this country always talks about the spirit of the American people and the will of the American people.  I  think what makes this country special is our humor.  No country, except for the Irish on St. Patrick's day,  nobody can match our sense of humor. If we didn't keep laughing, we'd kill each other.

Democrats just have to  stop pretending that Tom DeLay and Dr. Dobson and all of the moral majority wingnuts have anything serious to add to our national dialogue. They are a bunch of humorless freaks who should be mocked and ridiculed without mercy.

If Joe Scarborough doesn't like it, mock and ridicule Joe Scarborough:

In fact, I think Dr. Cranford actually deserves to be nominated for the "Nobel Peace Prize in Medicine" -- or at least the Nobel Prize for Putting Completely Useless Twits in Their Place, especially after the way he made make lunch meat (pressed ham) out of Joe Scarborough's pathetic attempt to cross examine:

SCARBOROUGH: Let's talk about it. A radiologist told the court that the 2002 scan actually showed improvement over the 1996 scan. Is that inaccurate? Did the AP report that wrong?

CRANFORD: Absolutely. Maxfield said it was improved. And Judge Greer didn't buy it because the others said it wasn't improved. It was probably worse than it was before.

SCARBOROUGH: Is he a charlatan also?

CRANFORD: Yes. Maxfield is an HBO [hyperbaric oxygen] vasodilator -- look it up, Joe. See what vasodilator does. See what hyperbaric oxygen, see in these cases, and you tell me they are not charlatans.

Again, I'm willing to admit Dr. Cranford may have been a bit arrogant there. It wasn't reasonable for him to expect Joe Scarborough -- a man with the mental capacity of a Vidalia onion (a small Vidalia onion) -- to be able to comprehend, much less look up, a string of words like "hyperbaric oxygen vasodilator." I'd be surprised if Joe could even define the word "oxygen," much less "vasodilator," which I think is some sort of pre-lubricated anal sex toy. (Hah! In your face, Wonkette.)

Seriously, though: We're talking about a guy for whom becoming a hack Republican Congressman was an intellectual step up in the world. A man so dense the words on his law school diploma are written in Pig Latin. A man so stupid he feels intimidated by all the smart girls -- like Terri Schiavo.

A man, in other words, who is completely overqualified for the job of cable news talk show host. And I think Dr. Cranford should have taken that into account.

And that's how to talk to a conservative, if you must.

Re: I just saw Lewis Black on CSPAN (none / 0)

Beats the hell out of me. That's why I keep claiming that Harry Reid is in cahoots with Karl Rove. Nothing else makes sense.

When you think about it, the DLC are the corporate campaign kings of the Democratic party. They are the ones who keep voting for all of the Bush/Rove wish list legislation. The DLC and Harry Reid have been giving lip service to opposition, but not really getting in the way of Bush legislation. Even on Social Security, the blogosphere has been doing the heavy lifting.

Every single sign points to tacit, wink and a nod, cooperation between the DLC and Bush. Both groups get to stay on the good side of their big corporate contributors. The simplest explantation is frequently the best explanation. I don't think anything else makes sense.
