Personally, I had completely forgotten about this memo until I saw a dailykos diary concerning Hinderaker's sweaty discourse on the subject last night. It actually wasn't much of a story to begin with. Google news only records 1,200 responses on Schiavo memo, including the original story when it broke into the news. Schiavo, by itself, has over 54,000 responses. Actually, now that I shift through those 1,200 stories, quite a few of them don't even talk about the memo in question. I can't believe how much effort the wingers are putting into disproving a total non-story. It's actually pretty funny to see them try to find something positive from the Schiavo debacle by trying to relive their glory days. When things aren't going their way, conservative bloggers turn to talking about memos.
Then again, I shudder at the thought that the memo might not have been real. My blogging career would be finished. I mean, we all really hung our credibility on that memo, I'll tell ya'. We wrote so many posts about it, and obsessed about it endlessly. Assuming we can remember what Hinderaker is even talking about when he delivers the final DNA evidence on the matter, I'm sure this will be the end of us all.
Next week, Hinderacker will prove that the vulgarity laced email he sent to a Minnesota blogger was a fake. After that, it's onto proving that Kevin Drum falsifies his cat blogging.
