...with his latest rants per tonight's comment: "Clinton is Bush."
Totally off the deep-end in Obama-ville.
I hope cooler heads prevail 'mongst Obamaniacs in coming hours and days.
Disaffecting fellow Dems is totally counterproductive.
Heads are exploding over at the Big Orange tonight, as well.
Very uncool all around.
for use of the term "Obamaniac". Bob, cripes, that's so last month. We are ow trying to heal our divisions and behave nice with each other.
"Disaffecting fellow Dems is counterproductive".
Get it Bob?
... at my county convention, the Obama delegates had home-made t-shirts and signs with "Obamamaniac" all over them.
So -
- let me get this straight:
It's TRable to call the Obama supporters a name that, they themselves, have endorsed?
Really, you make my head spin.....
Traditionally self-identification has always allowed wider margins of expression than labeling-the-other.
E.g., don't use the d--- word if you're not a lesbian yourself, or the n----- word if you're not black.
Yeah well f___ that.
That's friggin Orwellian.
No, politeness vs rudeness has nothing to do with Orwell. Everything to do with proper-vs-improper familiarity.
Someone can't be polite/rude/offensive to him/herself. Another person can however be polite/rude/offensive to them.
Therefore I can be offended by words you say to me, even though I would not be offended if I said the same things about myself.
Is this now plain enough for you to understand?
Really, the concept of improper familiarity is hardly a new one.
She calls herself a "radio host," but she's not even broadcast on air anywhere. She can't get a gig. And she's inane as Randi Rhodes.
I believe I read somewhere she did some "vanity radio" on some small station, where she paid to be let on the air.
So, I guess you can say she's an ex-radio-host for certain values of "radio host".
Other than that, she's an intellectually dishonest, inconsistent hack. Internet's full of 'em.
Unfortunately, both Rhodes and Marsh attract the type of following that either doesn't care so long as they're on the "right" side, or their respective audience are so emotionally involved and caught up in the race that they can't recognize these people for what they really are.
That'd be fine if it wasn't they're helping drive the wedge in between the two "sides" that really do need to unite at some point, or we all pay the price.
