It disgusts me,  Obama  using this tactic, especially given the historical precedent of violence.

I am hoping, should Hillary, or even Edwards, become President, an intelligent national discussion can ensue, upon which we can explore bigotry toward the LGBT community, confronting it, with a goal toward tolerance, understanding and legal equality.

Gay marriage should also be recognized.

To me, prohibiting gay marriage is simply a new form of the old miscegenation laws, in retrospect, I find it truly astounding the government thought it had the right to dictate marriage, to consenting, informed adults.
