If this ad came out in Jan 2008, then maybe it would make a difference. All posting it this early does is defuse the ability of anyone to use it when it matters.
That said, I speak from complete ignorance as I haven't seen it yet and never thought the original was anything special.
The original is widely considered the best commercial ever produced. An advertising industry benchmark of originality and creativity. It launched the Apple Macintosh personal computer, which is fairly meaningful in itself. Fwiw, you could look it up.
