When Bush won, he made sure all his disparate segments were recognized in his victory. All I hear is gloating from the DLC types and the rise of "centrism"(which is not a bad term if it wasn't used as a way to bash the left). They take credit for everything without crediting the left for giving people like Webb the opportunith to run against the Iraq war without having to look like a kook. Webb's moderate credentials alone would not have insulated him as one can observe at the way Murtha gets bashed.
