Enough With Harold Ford

Look, we've already got plenty of annoying 2010 news. Why are we being subjected to Harold Ford's kabuki flirtation with running?

The New York Times says Schumer and Reid want him to drop it, Bloomberg's indifferent, and while Sharpton appeared "open" to a run, he's already endorsed someone else.

Ford would run to the right of Gillibrand on practically everything, and he's only been registered to vote in New York since November.

Can we move on (dot org)? Please?

Ford is a Republican Lite DLC Democrat.

In others words, Ford is not a progressive/liberal Democrat and his kind is passe. He's inappropriate for the state of New York or the northeast for that matter. Why move backwards.

RE: Ford is a Republican Lite DLC Democrat.

Everytime I meet a white woman from Tennessee, and a pretty one at that, I am reminded of the commercial: "I met Harold at the Playboy Party" and "Harold, call me!" Really dont want to go through it again!

And so we now recall. I think Ford's career was over then and definitely by taking a job heading the outmoded DLC. A vote for Ford would be tantamount to a vote for Bill Clinton's third term.

Suggest

That MSNBC stop paying him as a consultant.  He'll pull back just line Mathews did.

RE: Ford a coporate tool!

I used to think this guy had something going for him and even sent in a donation for his nasty Senatorial race vs the dip Corker.  Recently thought I see Harold Ford as a tool of coporate America, a guy who always is careful as to what he says so that he doesn't offend the $$$ people.  This guy should not even consider a run in the state of New York, he offers nothing for the poor, middle class and working men and women of America.  Although he fit right in that pompus, self serving institution of the United States Senate.

Sure he's annoying.
But NYers love a good knock-down drag-out. And may the lesser corporate tool win!

RE: Ford a coporate tool!

And Nancy Pelosi and Harry Redi somehow represent the middle class ?

RE: Ford a coporate tool!

Reid and Pelosi are not even near what a corporate lackey Mr. Ford is.  Do you ever watch him on Morning joe, never a straight answer, alway parsing his words as not to offend his Coporate boses.  And by the way if he's such a great candidate, why not take on Alexander in Tennessee when he's up for re-election?

RE: Ford a coporate tool!

Because Alexander is very well liked.....you really dont believe that pelosi is a lackey.....geez...the woman is corrupt plain and simple....

I hope he runs

It would be fun to have the DLC on trial in New York.
