Bill O'Reilly: If the government can cobble together cheaper insurance, I see that as a plus

The weirdest and most unexpected thing about Glenn Beck is that every time I watch him get interviewed by Bill O'Reilly, Beck seems crazier and O'Reilly seems... well... almost sane. And this video isn't helping! From Jed Lewison at Daily Kos: Does Bill O'Reilly support the public option?

Who knows if O'Reilly was endorsing exchanges, or a public option, or even if he had any clue what he was talking about. At the very least, though, it's a recognition from him that he thinks the basic argument for a public option is compelling.

I'll spew as much venom as the next guy over Bill O'Reilly, even if the next guy is Keith Olbermann. BUT, any day you can get a ray of rationalism through to the Fox News prime time audience is a good day.

Re: Bill O'Reilly

Looks like O'Reilly has seen the future of conservative talk (Glenn Beck) and realized something...

O'ReillyPoundsDemocratsOnHighCostOfHealthInsurance

If the Democrats are stupid enough to enact anything like the Baucus plan, a plan which is going to cost the middle and lower income families so dearly, they won't be able to afford it, and will create a backlash against the Democrats the likes of which we haven't seen since the last Democratic fail on healthcare (1994) do you think that Bill O'Reilly will be kind enough to remind his viewers of this obvious fact about healthcare costs?  That if the Public Option can provide a cheaper policy, it ought to be part of the plan?

Sometimes the Democratic Party leadership is so stupid.
