Senator Franken on Judicial Activism

I mentioned this earlier but Senator Franken's statement yesterday at close of the Judiciary Committee's vote on the confirmation of Judge Sonia Sotomayor is such a thing of a beauty that it deserves its own post. Enjoy every delicious word.

Re: Senator Franken on Judicial Activism

That was just amazing. I look forward to hearing what he has to say on the Senate floor when the full Senate takes up her nomination.

And Inhofe had the nerve to call Franken a clown?  Would that we had more such clowns, and fewer douchebags like Inhofe.

That's why they fought to keep Franken out

It's great to hear an eloquent voice for progressive populism in the Senate. Thanks for posting the speech.

Re: Senator Franken on Judicial Activism

Senator Franken is an asset to our Party, to Progressive values, to everything we stand for.

And the Rethugs know it.  That is why they did all they could to prevent his election.

And it looks like, good as he is, we will need another dozen like him to change the culture in the Congress and begin to move America in the direction it will need to move to survive as a Democracy and as  a Republic.

I hate these You Tube drop-ins

Just as an aside, I hate these You Tube drop-ins.

I'm on a slow dial-up and would prefer to see a few text excerpts before I make the big commit to load You Tube.
