The Republican "Plan" for Healthcare

Not much of a plan at all:

House Republicans presented a four-page outline of their health care reform plan Wednesday but said they didn't know yet how much it would cost, how they would pay for it and how many of the nearly 50 million Americans without insurance would be covered by it.

The Republicans would be a little more convincing in their efforts to appear to be willing to negotiate in good faith on healthcare if, for instance, their plan was actually a bill longer than four pages that actually did something -- anything -- to reform our healthcare system. I would be surprised if they put forward a real plan, because they appear content simply saying no, a tactic that worked a decade and a half ago when Bill Clinton was President bush that hasn't been particularly fruitful for the party in the past few years. But if the Republicans are trying to seem like they are coming up with an alternative, they might consider, well, coming up with an alternative.

Simplest, cheapest, and most effective healthcare reform:

End subsidies on sugar and dairy fat.  If the GOP put this forward, I'd support it.

Man-up, GOP.

Why Vegas didn't put out an over-under on the number of pages in the Rs Health Care Plan just shows how much they've slipped since the days of Bugsy Siegel.

Re: The Republican "Plan" for Healthcare

Certainly Obama will come up with a better health care plan, with his plan to increase the number of people with a health insurance plan.

Re: The Republican "Plan" for Healthcare
This was just another chance for these clowns to get on television, this "plan" was just like the budget plan they released that had no numbers.
The party of "NO" looks like the party of IDIOTS.
