Sam Seder for MSNBC's 10:00 PM ET Slot

Per TV Newser, MSNBC is looking for a new host.
Now that Countdown with Keith Olbermann is in place at 8pmET and The Rachel Maddow Show is set at 9pmET, the New York Times' Brian Stelter reports MSNBC is looking to add a new show at 10.
"It's almost like we're one personality away," MSNBC president Phil Griffin told Stelter. Olbermann supports the move as well. "Losing the 10 p.m. replay [of Countdown] is a very small price to pay for a last piece to the puzzle." Olbermann says. MSNBC insiders tell us there is nothing currently in development, but the network's goal is to add a 10pm show when it finds the right host.
The folks at TV Newser are running a poll on who should get the new MSNBC show, and I'd recommend you take part in it because news executives do really read the site. Right now, the leader with an impressive 34 percent of respondents (to 9 percent for the next highest choices) is Sam Seder.
I've writtenbefore to talk up Seder, a friend of MyDD, but to reiterate, I think that any network would be well served to have an engaging, entertaining, informed and (perhaps most importantly) humorous host like Seder on-air. Particularly in the case of MSNBC, which has seen a ratings spike in recent years and even months as it has increasingly turned to outspoken progressives to reshape its brand, Seder seems like an especially good fit, offering another fresh hour in a similar tenor as Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.
Anyway, head over to TV Newser and make your voice heard today.
