Saturday Morning Diary Rescue

Apologies to any last minute scribes for posting the rescue so early.  An unexpected schedule change demands now or never, and the content this week was too good to keep to myself.  Show these diaries some love, whydontcha.

Poll Tracker - Electoral Vote Map

Kind of off-topic and a bit anal, but Wisconsin and South Carolina have too many squares in the Poll Tracker maps. Wisconsin has 10 votes and South Carolina has 8. The calculation appears to be correct.

Re: Saturday Morning Diary Rescue

does anybody know where we can get Bush-Cheney "4 Mort Years" plackers?  I think it is time we start showing up at McCain Rallies with "4 more years" signs

Thank you for the rescue of these diaries

I've read a lot of them before this was posted and the ones you included are good.

Re: Thank you for the rescue of these diaries

Thanks is due to the authors of the diaries themselves.  If you like what you read, let them know in the comments.

Also, if I missed anything you found interesting, by all means throw a link up in the rescue thread.

to the development of regional blogs 18/260
highlighting a Western Michigan Blog which is apparently conservative territory that is turning blue.

A piece on the american flag lapel pin 37/909

Re: Saturday Morning Diary Rescue

Hillary is ahead in today's Gallup Poll!!

Clinton: 46%, Obama: 45%

She always goes up in the polls a few days before an election.  What a closer.

Re: Saturday Morning Diary Rescue

She pulls even over most weekends... it is a trait of tracking polls.

Great news:

"Obama just dropped 12 points in 4 days in the Daly Gallup Poll. What was all that people were saying about Obama's weak performance in the debate having no effect?

April 19, 2008
Gallup Daily: Clinton 46%, Obama 45%
General election races remain tight

PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup Poll Daily tracking shows that Hillary Clinton now receives 46% of the support of Democrats nationally, compared to 45% for Barack Obama, marking the first time Obama has not led in Gallup's daily tracking since March 18-20.

These results are based on interviewing conducted April 16-18, including two days of interviewing after the contentious Wednesday night debate in Philadelphia and the media focus that followed. Support for Hillary Clinton has been significantly higher in both of these post-debate nights of interviewing than in recent weeks. The two Democratic candidates are now engaged in intensive campaigning leading up to Tuesday's Pennsylvania primary and are under a continual and hot media spotlight, increasing the chances for change in the views of Democrats in the days ahead. (To view the complete trend since Jan. 3, 2008, click here.)

There has been no change in the general election trial heats, with Obama's margin over Republican John McCain at 45% to 44% among registered voters nationally, and Clinton's margin at 46% to 44%. -- Frank Newport"

Re: Saturday Morning Diary Rescue

Well, ya'll should be happy... the ridiculous "fingergate" was reported on MSNBC today... it goes from the sublime to the ridiculous!  I've never seen more contrived "scandals" ever, I think...
