331 House Races have Dem candidates

From the diaries - Todd

Well 6 more districts now have candidates:
AZ-06 - R+12,
DE-AL - D+7,
IL-13 - R+5,
IN-05 - R+20,
KY-04 - R+11.7,
TX-31 - R+15,

But 1 is now back to uncontested:
TX-11 - R+25, (our candidate withdrew to take a job in DC).

And 1 moves back to rumoured candidate:
NE-02 - R+9, (I don't think Esch has committed to running yet)

Once again go and take a look at the

Praise to those states where we already have a full slate of house candidates - Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

It is also interesting to note that we have only one race left to fill in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Thats 21 states with a full slate, and 4 states with one race to fill! That is almost half the states full or nearly full 17 months before election day, an impressive feat indeed!

Please note that in some races others at the racetracker site have confirmed candidates that I haven't. This is because to satisfy me a confirmed candidate has either filed with the FEC, The Sec of State or has an active campaign website, or even if they come and blog and say yep I am running. Others are not so rigorous.

It is also great to see candidates in AZ-06, CA-42, VA-06, and WI-06; 4 of 10 districts we did not contest in 2006!

We are well on track to beat the 425 races we contested in 2006.

* Tips, rumours and what not in the comments please.*

Awesome.  I assume that fundraising is also well ahead of pace.  2008 is looking great so far.

Re: 331 House Races have Dem candidates

Yolu might want to check Prarie State Blue or PJStar.com. There might be a Democrat running in IL-18.

Re: 331 House Races have Dem candidates

IL-18 has a confirmed candidate.

But the big candidate is still exploring a run.

The confirmed candidate is Judge Richard Grawey.

The big candidate (the guy who has the best chance of winning, imo) is Dick Versace, who hasn't officially announced.

Re: 331 House Races have Dem candidates
Florida 12 appears to be in bad need of a Democratic Challenger. Democrats have registered there in the over 50% range. Doug Tudor is listed as a Democrat to challenge Republican representative Adam Putnam, but Tudor's site doesn't work.
Nevada 03 looks interesting.
